  • STEM Club Week 4

    This week in STEM Club we started to build our moving vehicles! We used wood glue to join the different sized wood together to make a strong base for our vehicle. We also glued on our triangle axels to make the corners as strong as possible.

  • Red Nose Day!

    A huge thank you for all of your Red Nose Day entries- there were lots!  A selection are displayed around school. They were all amazing and very creative!   It was a very tough choice but the winners were.......Felicity in Reception, Melody in Year 2 and Elliott in Year 5.  They each received a Red Nose Day goody bag full of red treats and even this years very own  red nose to wear!   It was wonderful to see so many children and staff wearing their topsy-turvy clothes - Thank you!  A final big thank you for all of your kind money donations!  It is very much appreciated!

    Uncle Brow Brows Biodiversity Book in a Day

       Children of all ages are invited to come and learn the creative process of bringing a book to life. Uncle Brow Brows will take you on a whirlwind journey, from developing an interesting character and story, all the way through to illustrating the final book. The finished book will then have some Uncle Brow Brows magic applied to it. The theme is biodiversity, so before you arrive think of your favourite animals, bugs or creatures along with the green spaces they live in. There is an author inside all of us. So, let's tell a magic story together.

  • School Council Oldbury Council House Trip!

    Today, the year 5 and 6 school councillors, Miss Lewis and Mrs Loach represented our school at the Oldbury Council House, where we joined with other local schools to have a debate. We even met with our local councillors too, Councillor Hackett and our question we were debating was ' is technology useful in children's lives?' We each took turns in saying our opposing argument.  The children spoke with confidence and respect. We all enjoyed our morning and it is an experience we will remember!

  • STEM Club Week 1

    Our brand new STEM club met this week to start an exciting project to build a running locomotive or vehicle from scratch! The club has been kindly sponsored by Primary Engineer which has provided us with the tools and equipment to run this club to a small group of children in KS2. 

     

    For the first week, the children had to become designers and think about what vehicle / locomotive / animal they want their construction to be and consider how they could make it. See their designs below!
